Dean's Birthday

Sunday, we had birthday cake with my family. My sister Sam and my mom got Dean a model car kit.

Tuesday Dean turned 32. He took the day off work. We took the kids to the water park. We have season passes and the kids love it there.

Then Tuesday night we went to the Japanese Kitchen for dinner. After that we went to see Kung Fu Panda at the IMAX theater.

Back Yard Project

Dean has started our pergola. I am really excited. Carter and Abby decided to help out.

Happy Father's Day

So, Dean is pretty much an awesome Dad. Or at least the favorite parent of one of our children. Abby told me she loves daddy more.

Anyhow, the kids love spending time with him. Abby cannot start her day without a hug and kiss from Dad. Daddy is also the official tooth brush helper. And when it comes to bedtime, it is the story of the Three little Pigs for Abby and Daddy (voices and all).

Carter loves to have his boy time with Dean. Carter loves the evenings when they go to the backyard and daddy pushes him in his swing.

Dean has always been 100% helpful with the kids. Doctor appointments, diapers, shopping you name it he does it.

Well, for Father's Day I wanted Dean to get something that would help him have a little more time for himself. I think golf clubs will do the trick.

This video is of Dean practicing his swing. (What a cutie. I LOVE HIM!)

Hot Day

Sometimes you have to be creative when you have restless kids on a hot day.

Carter has very fair skin so it makes me nervious to have him in the sun for too long. This lovely sheet canopy did the trick. An under the bed storage box for a mini pool and some random toys made for a fun time.

Carter's Birthday

We had a birthday party for Carter the Saturday after his birthday. It was a lot of fun. We invited family and some friends. He had a barbecue and we rented a bounce house for the kids.

Also my sister, Sam, made a rockin' cake that was a treasure map. I did a treasure hunt for the kids and they seemed to like that.

Dean and I gave carter a little car for his birthday. (The one cousin Jacob is riding.)

Thanks to all those came and for the nice gifts.

Boating

Memorial Day we went with the Dockstaders to Millerton Lake. It was kind of chilly but it was nice to do something different. Carter hated wearing a life jacket and cried most of the time. Although, he liked helping Daddy drive the boat.

3 Reasons

So, I have not posted anything for a while. First, I started a summer class last week and have been crazy busy. Second, I have had a cold and I mostly want to veg out. Third, my visiting teacher gave me a talk from conference last month. It was about mothers and I loved it. But, in the talk it warned against waisting time online so I am trying to cut back.

Anyhow, I am going to try to post some pictures from Carter's birthday and from the holiday weekend. We will see how it goes.
