In November Dean had a business trip to Florida. I was not planning on going but with Maclynn and Gill buying a new house and not wanting to leave the state, Dean was left with a hotel room to himself.
After an especially stressful Day with the above photographed child, it did not take much convincing to decide to go with Dean.
My sister Sami and her husband stayed at the house with the kids and we we off to Ponte Vedra Florida.
Dean had meetings during the day so I had time by myself. As a mom, alone time is a foreign concept, but it was amazing!
The hotel we were staying and where Dean's meetings were held was really nice. It was a golf resort and the grounds were beautiful.
I spent the first day being completely lazy. I slept in, ordered room service, went to the spa, and vegged about reading and watching TV.
That night we went to dinner with the group he was having meetings with. It was at a golf club house that basically looks like a mansion.
The next day was pretty much a copy of the previous day except that I took some time in the afternoon to go to the beach.
There was almost nobody at the beach. The resort we were staying at had a private beach but as far as I could see in either direction I saw less than 10 people. The day was in the 70s and sunny so I don't know why there were not more people there.

| Dean thought this sign was a little redundant |
We had a layover in Dallas and as we were turning off our phones for take off to fly to Fresno Dean got a call from my sister.
She told him not to worry but they were going to the emergency room because Carter may have broken his arm.
While watching the boys my brother-in-law built this really cool cardboard box fort for the kids to play in.
But as typical with Carter, he fell off the top and broke his wrist. My sister said he was pretty upset when if first happened but he really handled the ER, x-rays and everything else really well.
Carter is a Dockstader (wild, reckless and fearless)so I am sure this was the first of many broken bones.
Even with the broken bone, the trip was amazing. I feel so blessed to have such experiences.

Wow! You can sign me up for a trip like that anytime! How nice to get some real alone time. Sorry about Carter's arm. No fun! (But that fort really was cool!)
