Sunday after Grant's blessing we loaded into the motor home for a camping trip to Huntington Lake. The trip up was nice. We had about two hours of great fun until. . .

Carter face planted off of the steps of the motor home onto the asphalt. He cried for a looonnnnggg time after falling. He was okay for a while again until we tried to put him to bed then he cried basically on and off until 6:00a.m when Dean got up with him. After no sleep between a crying Carter and nursing the baby we decided to cut our trip short.
We made sure to let Abby do the one thing she wanted to do on our camping trip: roast a marshmallow.
The injury the next morning.
The kids packed up and ready to go home. All was going well on our way home. We got down the four lane. Dean said something was feeling weird with the motor home so he pulled over. He got out and checked all of the tires. Everything looked okay and Dean opened the door to get back in and we heard a pop. The next adventure of our trip. . .

A flat tire on the motor home and missing the tools to change it. So, Dean called his brother Tyler and he brought the tools we needed to get going again.
This is basically what Grant did the whole trip. He was a great camper.
So, as Dean and I unloaded the motor home after this eventful trip I looked over at him and he said, "That was the worst trip I have ever taken."
It wasn't all bad though. It was sweet to see Dean take care of and comfort Carter. He put him in the bike trailer and did lap after lap around the campsite. Also, Dean with the help of his brother fixed the motor home. This man can fix almost anything. He is amazing. I LOVE HIM!!!

So sorry it wasn't a fun time. :( At least you didn't lose Carter in the forest like you feared. ;)
